We've heard from Sister Lynes!

We've finally heard from Sister Lynes! She has a super sweet companion whose name is Sister Wooley. She's been learning A LOT and has been very busy. While in the MTC she is only able to write letters once a week because of this. Needless to say we're thrilled to hear from her.

Did you know that we love to smell pine trees?! If you smell them they usually smell like vanilla, chocolate or strawberry! Don't believe us? Try it for your self, you'll be pleasantly surprised. :)

She's so photogenic!

LOVE her name tag.

Lots and lots of studying...

Such a cute sister missionary!
Rachael will be in the MTC for at least 6 more days and would love to hear from any and all of you! If you'd like to leave a comment I'll be sure to include it in my next letter. Or if you'd like to write her your self (which she would LOVE) you can by clicking here. Select Provo MTC from the drop down menu and click write a missionary. To use this website you'll need her unit # (242), her Mission Code (UNYM) and her Estimated Departure Date (06/11/2013). Everything else is pretty much self explanatory. The amazing thing about this website is that you can write her the letter and the MTC will print it out within 24 hrs and hand it to her directly! She's in need of lots of support and love at this time and letters are the one thing that will lift her spirits. Please be sure to keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

A Note From Rachael...

When the announcement of the age change came in October 2012 General Conference I text my mom and jokingly said " I'm going on a mission! " I don't think she caught that  I was kidding.. But I was. She also hadn't watched conference yet and thought she had more time to prepare ;) Well when she watched it she was shocked at how soon I would be leaving and posted this gem on Facebook

Well would you look at that! I guess I'm going!

I never ever thought I was going to go on a mission. But when I read what my mom said. I knew the spirit. And the question that kept running through my mind was "How did she have that feeling, If it wasn't meant to be?"

After a long moment of contemplation (like 4 months) of waiting and preparing my call came on a Friday. After a little breakdown on Thursday because it didn't come. Patience. Something I am learning a lot lately.

Well here I am. Heading off to the MTC. I am so excited and truly blessed to have the Lord on my side guiding me through the good times and the bad!

I encourage all future Sisters, and Brothers to STAY STRONG and PRAY ALWAYS. If there is one thing I have learned in all of this is that Satan tries you so so so very hard when he doesn't want you to do the right thing, even if Jury Duty is the last thing he can do. And a prayer always helps even if its just simple like Heavenly Father Please help me… with tears rolling down your face! Have you ever heard "Sometimes God calms the storm..sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His child."

I am so grateful to have the Gospel in my life. I am grateful for all the support I have received, and please do continue! The Church is True! I know it. I live it. I love it. See you in 18!

LOVE THIS:
"He who gives money gives much, he who gives time gives more, but he who gives of himself gives all."
